About Povljana

Povljana is located in the south of the island of Pag in a beautiful natural bay.
Due to its favorable geographical position, it is well protected from strong winds of the bora and the south wind. Historically, thanks to the abundance of water sources, Povljana has been an agricultural area that has fed most of the island for centuries. In the middle of the 20th century, great changes took place when Povljana, with large investments of the population, began to develop into a recognizable tourist destination. The "Veliko Blato" ornithological reserve, the Segal natural healing mud and the recognizable dry stone walls are just some of the sights that will attract your attention during your vacation.

Island of Pag

The island of Pag is one of the largest but also the sunniest islands in Croatia with over 2500 hours of sunshine a year. The island of the lunar landscape is dotted with hundreds of kilometers of dry stone walls, and is widely known for the oldest olive groves in the northern Adriatic, salt pans in the town of Pag and Pag cheese, a specialty of Pag shepherds. You can get to know the charms of this island on kilometers of well-maintained paths for cycling, running or trekking, promenades along the coast or in small hidden coves that allow peaceful and pleasant enjoyment of the sun and the landscape of the northern Adriatic. The island of Pag is one of the most special islands in the Adriatic, which offers a dose of fun and adventure, silence and peace, a touch of the past, unusualness and quite ordinary enjoyment in peaceful coves.
